At a glance
- What we collect
- Only what you type into a form: your name, email, phone, city and message. Nothing else identifies you.
- Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry and, if you become a client, to run your case.
- Who else sees it
- Nobody, apart from the services that host and protect this site. We never sell or share your details for marketing.
- How to remove it
- Email info@divorcefirmnepal.com and ask. We delete what we are not legally required to keep.
Who we are
Divorce Firm Nepal is a divorce and family law practice in Kathmandu, led by Advocate Keshar Bahadur Dahal, Nepal Bar Council License No. 21858. Our office is at BalaBhadra Marga, Kathmandu 44600, Nepal. This policy covers the website www.divorcefirmnepal.com and the enquiries you send through it.
Information you send us
There are three forms on this site, and each one stores exactly the fields it shows you.
| Form | What it stores | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Contact form | First name, last name, email, phone, subject, message | To answer your question |
| Appointment form | First name, last name, email, phone, city, message | To arrange a consultation |
| Comment form | Name, email, comment text, and the article commented on | To publish and moderate comments |
You choose what to put in the message field. Please do not send documents or sensitive case details through the comment form, which is public. Use the contact form, email or WhatsApp instead.
Information collected automatically
Two things happen without you typing anything.
Security checks. Every form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which confirms you are a person rather than a bot. To do that, Cloudflare receives your IP address and basic browser information. We see only the result, not the raw data.
Hosting logs. This site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare records requests, including IP addresses, to serve pages and block attacks.
Traffic measurement. If analytics is enabled on this site, we use Google Analytics to count page views and see which guides people read. It reports totals and trends, not individuals, and we do not use advertising or remarketing tracking.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising cookies, and it does not track you across other websites.
- Security cookies set by Cloudflare, to tell people apart from bots.
- Analytics cookies, if analytics is enabled, to count a visit once rather than twice.
- Login cookies for our own staff when they sign in to manage the site. These never apply to visitors.
Your browser settings control cookies. Blocking them may stop a form from submitting, because the security check needs one.
Comments on articles
Comments are moderated, so nothing appears until we approve it. When a comment is published, your name and comment text are public. Your email address is not published and is used only to identify repeat commenters and to reply if needed. We do not use Gravatar or any other avatar service, so no data about you is sent to a third party when your comment is displayed.
The interactive tools
The divorce route checker, document checklist and overseas checker all run in your browser. Your answers are never sent to us and never stored. Close the page and they are gone. There is no sign-up, and results are shown without asking for your contact details.
Where your information is stored
Form submissions and comments are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. Images and documents used on the site are stored in Cloudflare R2. Cloudflare operates a global network, so this data may be processed on servers outside Nepal.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. The only third parties involved are the services that make the site work:
- Cloudflare, for hosting, storage and bot protection.
- Google Analytics, for aggregate traffic measurement, where enabled.
We may disclose information if a court or a law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep information
- Enquiries that do not become cases: kept while they may still be relevant, then deleted on request.
- Client matters: kept for as long as our professional and legal obligations as advocates require.
- Comments: kept while published. Ask us and we will remove yours.
Confidentiality and legal advice
What you tell us is treated as confidential. Two things are worth being clear about.
First, sending an enquiry does not create a lawyer and client relationship. That begins only when we both agree that we are acting for you.
Second, the guides and tools on this site are general legal information, not legal advice about your situation. Advocate Keshar Bahadur Dahal reviews the legal content, but reading it is not the same as being advised on your own case.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you,
- send you a copy of it,
- correct anything that is wrong,
- delete it, where we are not required to keep it.
Email info@divorcefirmnepal.com and we will respond within 24 hours. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so we do not hand your information to somebody else.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, forms are protected against automated abuse, and access to submissions is limited to Advocate Keshar Bahadur Dahal and the person who administers the site. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send highly sensitive documents by email without asking us first how to send them safely.
Children
This site is meant for adults dealing with family law matters. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
